With so many outlets for news and opinions, I've created this site as a simple way to view the latest MLB-related news and analysis. Instead of visiting 50+ different sites, twitter, facebook, etc...My thinking is it will be nice to have a simple & clean index of the latest stories. Blog posts are listed in the order of most recent posts first. Play Ball! [Bookmark CTRL + D]

YANKEES FANS FURIOUS AFTER BEING TOLD GAME WAS CANCELED

Yankees employees told fans that the game was being canceled. After the game actually began, many were not let back into the stadium to see the Yankees again failing to beat the Red Sox this season. Someone should lose their job and/or fans should get reimbursed. Easier said than done. Below is the Sporting News article discussing the mishap.

Hundreds of Yankees fans left Monday night's game after being told by team employees that the game was canceled and were not allowed to re-enter, resulting in an angry throng and one arrest at one gate, the New York Daily News reports.

The team has a strict no-reentry policy, according to a team spokesman, but fans were allowed back in at Gate 4. It was at Gate 6 that the doors were closed behind fans after a 9:20 p.m. ET start time finally was announced following a rain delay of more than two hours.

"We talked to the security personnel, who said there was zero chance they were going to play the game," said Tom Stuart, a 27-year-old from Astoria, N.Y., who waited out most of the rain delay before leaving with his girlfriend. Several fans told the newspaper that people holding pinstriped "May we help you?" signs informed them that the game would be postponed.

Roseanna Franco, a 25-year-old woman from White Plains, N.Y., was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she allegedly kicked a New York City police officer after not being let back into the game, the Daily News reports.

Stadium security also threatened to revoke the credential of Daily News photographer Robert Sabo, who was photographing the scuffle outside Gate 6.

"They were super-embarrassed and told me to go back to my position on the field or they'd take my credential," Sabo said.
